A Message from Our Head
What a great start to opening our school! Our first week, although hectic was full of fun and excitement due to the wonderful 'Orientation' activities the teachers designed for our students. The children were all comfortable and followed the new Covid safety protocols.
Orientation Week has been a real success, with children rediscovering their love of school and learning while giving them bonding time with their teachers and peers.
As we move forward with our Amazing Learning, the following areas are priorities within the school
Our key priorities for the rest of the school year are outlined below:
To assess as quickly as possible gaps in children's individual progress with Reading, Writing and Maths.
To provide 'interventions' or whole class lessons, where needed for any children to 'recover' from missed learning.
To prioritise Guided Reading in all classes, along with phonic teaching and learning in Reception and KS1.
To ensure that children's mental health and well-being are strong
To know what 'equality' means throughout the school community and how everyone has a part to play in our school to feel valued, cared for and considered.
I hope you really enjoy reading our first newsletter and enjoy reading about the activities and learning your child has been involved in.
Kindest regards,
Claire Bell
Head of Programme
